My name is Joshua Michael Waters.
Long before I ever picked up a professional camera, my roots were planted right here in Northern California. I am a fourth-generation farmer and now homesteader. My family owns sixty acres of Chandler Walnuts, and I spend a good part of my year helping manage a seasonal huller and dryer for walnuts sourced from all across the state.
I’m also a Simpson University Alumnus with a background in Youth Ministry, a devoted husband, and a proud father of two.
Hard work, deep roots, and real relationships are simply how I live my life. And that is exactly how I approach photography.
My goal is to give you a relaxed, easy experience and deliver sharp, flattering, true-to-life images—the kind of keepsakes your family will love, treasure, and pass down for generations to come.
Why I Do This (And My Biggest Regret)
I seriously love weddings. Every time I shoot one, the happiness in the room takes me right back to my own wedding day. I am incredibly blessed to have my wife, and my deepest hope is that each of my clients' marriages becomes as big of a blessing to them as mine has been to me for the last 12 years.
But when we got married, we were just starting out. We didn't have much of anything except our love for each other, and a professional photographer seemed completely out of our budget. Back then, I didn't truly understand the value of a photograph.
We ended up asking a family friend with a camera to take some photos for us. Nearly every image came back tilted, blurry, or unfixable. Today, we only have a handful of photos from our wedding that are even good enough to frame, and that was only after I spent years learning how to rescue them in editing.
Not investing in a wedding photographer is one of my biggest regrets
What This Means For You
I want to give you the exact keepsakes that my wife and I don't have.
Because I know what it’s like to wish you could look back on those fleeting moments, I don't take my job lightly. I bring a calm, self-sufficient focus to your day so you can lose track of time, forget the camera is even there, and trust that the true spirit of your day is being preserved forever.
Whether you're planning a wedding, gathering your family, or celebrating a milestone, I'd love to be the one to document it for you.
Reach out and let's talk, I would be happy to answer any of the Questions that you have.
